In this case study, we will discuss an instance of delayed progeny.
This case first came to me in 2014. The native had been married in 2012, and when the time came to plan for a child, the couple began facing difficulties in conceiving. Medical efforts were initiated, but results were not encouraging.
Due to the unavailability of the wife’s horoscope, the analysis had to be conducted primarily through the husband’s horoscope, with special emphasis on progeny-related houses. In the social background from which father comes, horoscope matching—especially post-marriage—is not commonly practiced, so the child’s prospects had to be judged through the father’s chart.
After a detailed examination, Pandit Vikas Dhoundiyal clearly predicted:
• Two children
• Conception through medical intervention, such as IVF or surgical procedures
I advised the native to keep all options open, as the horoscope indicated progeny, but not through a completely natural or effortless process.

Horoscope Analysis
The native has an Aquarius ascendant.
• Jupiter is placed in the ascendant, which is a highly auspicious placement and signifies blessings, protection, and continuity of lineage.
• Jupiter also aspects the fifth house, the primary house of progeny, further strengthening the promise of children.
• The fifth lord is placed in its own house (the fifth house itself), which is an excellent indication and strongly confirms progeny in the horoscope.
When we examine planetary aspects:
• Mars, Ketu, and Jupiter all influence Mercury, the fifth lord.
• Among these, Mars plays a significant role, as it is often associated with surgical procedures and, in certain combinations, even indicates the possibility of multiple births or twins.
Result and Confirmation
In 2018, the native’s wife successfully conceived through IVF, and two healthy sons were born. After the birth, the native personally came to inform me of the outcome, thereby confirming the prediction made years earlier.
Key Insight of the Case
The most important factor in this case was that the delay was not caused by denial of progeny, but by physical and hormonal challenges on the wife’s side. Medical diagnosis later confirmed hormonal imbalance, which was preventing natural conception.
However, the husband’s horoscope clearly promised children, including:
• The number of children
• The method through which conception would take place
This case highlights an essential principle of astrology:
A delay does not mean denial.
When a horoscope promises progeny, the result will manifest—sometimes through unconventional or modern methods.
Conclusion
This case demonstrates that:
• Progeny should never be judged only by delay
• Strong fifth-house combinations can manifest through medical science
• Astrology and modern medicine can work together, not against each other
Correct analysis helps families make informed decisions instead of losing hope.
